Getting Driving Lessons
You are spending hard earned money on driving lessons, so it’s important to take your time when choosing a qualified driving instructor or driving school in reigate, and one that you feel very at ease with.
The Driving Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) in the UK approves ALL driving instructors. Only DVSA Approved Driving Instructors also referred to as (ADIs) or DVSA licensed instructors under training are allowed to charge you for professional driving instruction.
Instructor DSA approved?
It is extremely important to check the badge displayed in the driving instructor’s car windscreen. A green octagonal badge shows the instructor is fully qualified and an Advanced Driving Instructor ( ADI). A pink triangular badge shows the instructor is not yet fully qualified, but like you they are training and allowed to charge for lessons.
ADIs and DVSA licensed driving instructors under training are also now checked to see if they have a criminal record with the CRB.
Choosing a driving instructor?
Most Driving Instructors work by themselves, while others are part of a bigger driving school. Whatever type of driving instructor you decide to go with, make sure you talk to the instructor directly and not a salesman so to make sure you like and feel comfortable with them.
At Peter Chappell School of Motoring you will always speak directly with the Instructor who will be taking you for driving lessons. They will always be polite, understanding and give you all the information you need to make a uniformed decision.
